Rex has guided fishing and whitewater trips in Chile since 1988 and has been involved in the pioneering of many of Chilean Patagonia's most successful fisheries. His many years of outdoor experience in Alaska and throughout North and South America make him fully capable of leading just about any type of wilderness adventure. Rex is also an internationally published outdoor photographer and writer. Maike (my-kay) was raised in the south of Chile and her enthusiasm for life and her knowledge and insight into the local chilean culture provide for plenty of interesting conversation. Maike's lovely daughter (Maike chica) also assists us at the lodge and both of them tirelessly attend to the many lodge details in an effort to make your stay at La Posada de los Farios the most comfortable and enjoyable it can possibly be. Both of them are fluent in english and german. Maike's son Gabriel, a chilean medical student, also assists as a guide.
