• Our guides are highly experienced North American and Chilean professionals who are knowledgeable of the local area and fully committed to providing the best possible service and fishing for our guests. They are always willing to provide helpful advice and extra assistance to beginners and novices. Most bring with them a vast amont of knowledge gained from guiding around the world in such far flung places as Kamchatka, Alaska or British Columbia.

Jeff Smith is originally from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and graduated from Lewis-Clark State College with a degree in business where also he played collegiate golf. During the summer months he guides for Teton Valley Lodge in Driggs, Idaho on the South Fork of the Snake, Teton, and Henry’s Fork. Jeff’s an experienced and traveled guide who’s guided rivers throughout the Bristol Bay area of Alaska and fished the rivers of the Roaring Fork Valley while working several winters for the Aspen Ski Company. Jeff's a dependable and enthusiastic guide and we look forward to having him for the 2012 season.

Rex Bryngelson is the owner of Chile Patagonia Flyfishing and has been a river and fishing guide for more than 25 years. He spent many years guiding all types of wilderness trips in Alaska and the western US prior to permanently relocating to Chile in the mid-ninties. Rex now has two decades of guiding experience in Patagonia under his belt and his knowledge of the Rio Cisnes watershed and its surrounding area is unsurpassed. Rex plans to spend more time on the water guiding guests this season and anglers can be rest assured they will be in the best of hands with Rex as their guide.
