• Our guides are highly experienced bi-lingual North American and Chilean professionals who are knowledgeable of the local area and committed to providing the best possible service and fishing for our guests. They are always willing to provide helpful advice and extra assistance to beginners and novices. Most bring with them a vast amont of knowledge gained from guiding around the world in such far flung places as Kamchatka, Alaska or British Columbia.

Mike Cole, our head guide, was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. He has fished and hunted his whole life and has been a professional guide for the past decade. He spends his summers guiding in southwestern Alaska for Mission lodge. 2008 will be Mike’s 7th season at La Posada. He knows our waters intimately and will be directing our guide staff. He is also now a part of the family having recently married our lovely daughter/step-daughter/lodge hostess, Maike (jr.).

Andrew Dines, a native of Colorado, holds a biology degree from Middlebury College in Vermont. He has spent several seasons guiding in Alaska and is presently guiding on the Kamchatka Pennisula in Russia. Andrew spent time in Ecuador studying Tropical ecology and is a fluent Spanish speaker as a result. We look forward to welcoming Andrew to our team in 2008.

Steven Morrow is a native of British Colombia. He is a self-described steelhead junkie and spey rod aficionado. Steve spends his North American summers guiding on the Chilko River in B.C. and the fall season guiding for steelhead on the Fraser River. Steve holds a degree in Resource Management with an emphasis on fisheries and wildlife management. In 2006 he did an internship in Tanzania. Steve is also a fluent Spanish speaker.
