Guests fly to Santiago, Chile, often choosing to overnight there to see the city or to spend a couple of days to visit the port of Valpariaso or to tour the famous wine country. From Santiago it is a 3 hour commercial jet flight to Balmaceda (Coyhaique), where Rex or a staff member will meet guests upon arrival at the airport. We have a luxurious and spacious Ford Excursion SUV for our airport transfers. Perhaps the finest means of transportation available at any lodge in Chile. It is a very scenic 3.5 hour drive to La Posada de los Farios Lodge. Guests will often stop at our home in Coyhaique for lunch before continuing up to the lodge. Air charters can also be arranged from Balmaceda to an airstrip closer to the lodge. We strongly recommend Chile's LAN Airlines, South America's #1 airlines, for your air travel to Chile.
