Guests fly to Santiago, Chile, often overnighting there to see the city or, spend a couple of days to vist Valpariaso on the coast or tour the local wine country. From Santiago it is a 3 hour commercial jet flight to Balmaceda (Coyhaique), where Rex or a staff member will meet guests upon arrival at the airport. It is a very scenic 3.5 hour drive to La Posada de los Farios Lodge. Guests will often stop in Coyhaique for lunch before continuing up to the lodge. Air charters can also be arranged from Balmaceda to an airstrip closer to the lodge. We strongly recommend Chile's LAN Airlines, South Americas #1 airline, for your air travel to Chile.
